NUS LKCNHM Annual Report Design

CTS.AD designed the 2023/24 Annual Report for NUS Natural History Museum, blending data, visuals, and stories into a clear and engaging publication.

A Visual Celebration of Nature and Knowledge We worked with the NUS Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum to design their 2023/24 Annual Report . The museum holds one of Southeast Asia’s most significant zoological collections. It features rows of specimens, birds, butterflies, mammals, shells arranged in bands. This curated visual reflects the diversity of the museum’s collection. The clean title treatment ensures the report remains professional while staying visually rich. Showcasing Impact Across the Academic Year Opening the report, we designed a spread that outlines key metrics for the academic year. It covers outreach efforts, research output, and education statistics. The use of full-page imagery combined with inset photos keeps the layout engaging. Each number is carefully placed to support the content narrative. Telling the Story of Scientific Discovery The Research & Collections section takes readers inside the museum’s mission. It features macro photos of specimens alongside powerful photography of the museum space. We used bold headlines, structured layouts, and white space to maintain balance. To add depth, we highlighted partnerships with international institutions such as the Natural History Museum (London) and Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (Paris). This section not only communicates scientific rigor but also global collaboration. Blending Art, Nature, and Innovation In the next spread, we showcased the Nature Remixed exhibition. This project used artificial intelligence to reinterpret natural specimens. We combined exhibition photography with creative layouts to reflect the theme of transformation and curiosity. Opposite this, we placed photos of distinguished guests visiting the gallery, which included diplomats, directors, and partners. The balance between event photography and minimal
