Our collaboration with James Cook University (JCU) on their course brochure embodies a commitment to excellence in visual communication in the most basic form. Our goal was to create a sleek and engaging design that not only captivates the audience but also facilitates easy comprehension of the vast array of courses and offerings provided by JCU. The sleek aesthetic was carefully crafted to evoke a sense of professionalism and modernity, aligning with JCU's reputation as a leading educational institution. Bold typography and strategic use of whitespace ensure that information is presented in a clear and organised manner, allowing readers to navigate the brochure effortlessly. We implemented a systematic approach to content organization, ensuring that courses and offerings are delineated effectively. Through strategic colour coding and visual hierarchy, we created distinct sections for different disciplines, enabling readers to quickly locate relevant information. In addition to enhancing readability, the design also serves to engage the audience on an emotional level. Vibrant imagery and dynamic graphic elements add visual interest and evoke a sense of excitement about the educational opportunities offered by JCU. In our design, we focused on two key principles: ease of reading and clear separation of content. Recognising that the course brochure serves as a primary touchpoint for prospective students and stakeholders, we prioritised legibility and accessibility throughout the design process.
